Press Release - The Bash is Back!

Merseyside bands hoping to become the next big thing are to show their talent next week at the Big Fat Summer Bash 2.0.

The event will give unsigned bands the chance to perform live at Liverpool’s Carling Academy, on 28th August, as they all bid to become the next big band to come out of Merseyside.

Promoter Ben Langfeld from Live Sounds CIC said: “Merseyside has got such a huge history of producing quality music, from The Beatles right the way through to modern acts like The Zutons. But there is still so much talent that hasn’t made it. We wanted to give young upcoming bands a taste of live performance and, more importantly, a chance to start showcasing their talents.”

Currently on the line up are local bands The Glides, SlitCell, Epydemyk and Hello Geoff, with a headline performance from London's powerpop band The Ghost Frequency, dubbed 'Duran Duran for self harmers'.

Live Sounds CIC received a grant from the EU Arts & Culture Fund managed by Community Foundation for Merseyside to hold the Big Fat Summer Bash 2.0.
